Grace Upon Grace pt. 3

Monday, September 08, 2014

Life has been HEAVY lately. A lot of times the weekends make my heart swell with grief...Let's join Jordyn and make a list of simple graces that we've been enjoying lately!

The berries on this tree keep reminding me that it's September.

I noticed that this Phlox that I thought had died is blooming. It's not the middle of August, but life is life, I'll take it!

This dog is something else...I think she's enjoying the cooler temps!

I pulled out THIS cookbook and made The Homesick Texan's "Black Bean Sopes with Chipotle Crema". Minus the black beans and chipotle crema.

I chipped away at this novel over the weekend. I think I'm going to love it.

I've got four more days of "23" left and then it's on to 24. I could tell you about how I cried at KFC on Saturday (who even does that?!?!)...I'm carrying around things that aren't really mine to carry. I'm worrying about things that I have zero power to change. Pray for my friends. Pray for my family. Pray that 24 is spent worrying less.

Let's end with some words for our soul.

"The source of your fire is God and He is always burning." Dr. Paul Jehle

His grace is so real. May we warm ourselves by His fire and find that the fire that He has placed within us is burning strong. May we know Him and love Him and obey Him. May these lives be spent in ways that make people see our God for who He is. Even when it hurts.

I love when plants surprise us! I have a plant that is from a clipping my best friend and I got about seven years ago and it always seems to struggle to really grow but lately it has taken off! God surprises us with His grace in such awesome little ways. Stopping by from Grace Upon Grace :-)
