December 21, 2014

This month's theme for The Circle is "Never Have I Ever..."! Leave it to Kiki and Amanda to come up with a theme this awesome. :) Seriously...When Kiki announced it, I knew it was going to be one of my favorites! I can't wait to read all of your posts.

It took me a little while to come up with my list. I tried to think of things that wouldn't be on yours...We'll see how I did!

Never Have I Ever...

Been to Panera Bread - I really want to, there just aren't any near where I live or shop. Someday.

Made potato salad - It's sort of intimidating. I do want to give it a go though!

Worn heels any higher than 2 inches - At 5' 7", I don't need any more help in the height department.

Done an actual cartwheel - I have tried and tried and tried, broken a toe, and been shown up by my Mom and Aunt Claudia in the process. It's just not meant to be.

Painted my fingernails bright red - When I was 4 or 5 my Aunt Claudia refused to paint them that color and told me that it wasn't good. 20 years later, I still can't bring myself to do it.

Fallen off of a horse - I've ridden horses a fair amount throughout most of my life and I'm hoping this stays a never have I ever FOREVER.

Managed to get to the bottom of who God is - This is by far my favorite thing on the list because it's what I get to spend eternity basking in!

So...Do we have any of these things in common?

What never have YOU ever? Link up with Kiki and Amanda or comment below!

PS - The picture I included is one from our recent trip! On the 21st, we had a big family get together at my Aunt Alice's house. SOME of the cousins gathered around to take a "we're rolling grape leaves" picture. I'll just be sneaking pictures into posts for a while! :)

  1. Panera! :) next time you're down south, you'll have to try it!

  2. OMG Panera! I love that place so much. They have a seasonal cranberry orange muffin that is to die for. I have to stop myself from stopping to get one every single day on the way to work. These are good ones! I have a really good garlic potato soup recipe that's scrumptious.

  3. Panera has the best muffins/bagels...ahhh. You must try one someday! And I've never been able to conquer the cartwheel either, so don't feel bad. :)

  4. Panera is so yummy! I can't do a cartwheel either... We have these long hallways at work, and I've always wanted to do cartwheels down them, but I can't... :(

  5. I can't believe you've never been to Panera. But, I guess it makes sense if there aren't any near where you live. I recommend that you try it if you find one while traveling! Also, I am so with you on the whole heels thing. I'm 5'8", and I don't need to be any taller. Plus, I'm really not that coordinated, I'd probably just tip over. :)

  6. I've only been to Panera once or twice. We don't have one very close so I never think about it. And I agree with the heals. I've bought shoes with higher heals and they never got worn! I learned my lesson!

  7. Ooh, such a great list! And one that we have LOTS in common with, too. Aside from being to Panera (only once, though!) I am with you 100% in your list. I think I need to change the potato salad one, though. It sounds like a lot of fun to try!

  8. This is such a great list! I've never been to Panera either (it's not a thing in Canada), but I've seen lots of blog friends post about it. And the heels…I'm 5'8'', so I feel you! Also, if you're ever in need of a potato salad recipe, I have a reeeeally good one…it's easier to make than it sounds :-)

  9. Aww look at all of you guys! So happy together!

Girl... how have you not been to Panera?! You must go. You just must. Their blueberry bagels are my FAVORITE! I just love them!

Oh, and if you want a delicious recipe for potato salad, you should try my mom's loaded potato salad recipe. It's SO good and super easy. (https://thisitalianfamily.wordpress.com/2012/03/20/loaded-baked-potato-salad/)

I'm 5'8, but I totally rock 4" heels frequently. ;) My little sister is nearly six feet tall and she is more into the kitten heels. But she did borrow my stilettos once and it was kind of hilarious to see her towering over even all the men in our family. :)

  10. My mom wouldn't let me paint my nails red when I was younger! I feel scandalous when I do even a dark pink now.
