If I could give you two more tips regarding cleaning it would be these:
1) Have an organized, well stocked cleaning closet.
Figure out what products you like and keep them on hand. Keep ONLY those on hand. Don't let it get out of control and keep it tidy.
Keep plenty of rags with your cleaning supplies. Mine are folded and have a shelf all to themselves right above the supplies.
Keep your vacuum working and some extra bags on hand.
2) Have a cleaning rag bucket for used rags.
I keep this on a shelf right above the washer and dryer. It's a small plastic bucket. It keeps the bleachy, dusty, gross rags away from the nice towels.
Having a clean home and a plan for keeping it that way will be a blessing to you. You will be blessed into being a blessing to anyone who comes to your house or needs your help with something outside of your house.
Have fun! Cleaning is definitely work, but it doesn't haven't to be "drudgery". Look for projects to add to your weekly/monthly/seasonal list.
Remember: It is easier to keep a house clean than to deal with an explosion.
